Vegan Travel in Tuscany: Behind the Scenes
Episode 189 Part 1 Of Our Mini-Series
Have you ever wondered what vegan travel in Tuscany is like—especially without olive oil, salt, or sugar? In this first episode of our new mini-series, Brighde takes us on a very special WFPB SOS-Free adventure through this beautiful part of Italy.
What Is WFPB SOS-Free?
WFPB SOS-Free stands for Whole Food, Plant-Based, Salt-Oil-Sugar-Free. It’s a way of eating that helps many people feel better and live healthier lives. On this trip, every meal was made with this in mind—but it was still delicious!
What Makes Vegan Travel in Tuscany So Special?
Brighde shares all the behind-the-scenes stories from this magical week in Tuscany:
- Hiking through beautiful countryside near storybook towns like Monteriggioni.
- A surprise opera performance during lunch—yes, really!
- Visiting sweet animals at a rescue sanctuary.
- Exploring charming places like San Gimignano, Siena, and Volterra.
- Playing trivia games on the bus and laughing with new friends.
- Eating food that made everyone feel good, without missing the salt or oil (well, maybe just a little).
Why We Love This Kind of Trip
Even though there was no olive oil or wine, this trip was full of joy, connection, and incredible food. The local chefs and villa team worked hard to make meals that were healthy and still full of flavor. And everyone on the trip—especially the couple celebrating their 40th anniversary—added something special to the group. This kind of vegan travel in Tuscany shows how joyful and satisfying plant-based adventures can be—even without the usual ingredients!

Final Thoughts
Sometimes, the best trips aren’t about fancy food or big cities—they’re about the people, the peaceful places, and how you feel when it’s all over. This trip to Tuscany showed us that you don’t need salt or sugar to make something truly sweet.
