South Africa

Why we love South Africa

South Africa just has it all. Wildlife, beaches, modern cities, mountains, deserts, wine, rich culture, a growing vegan scene, the list goes on and on and on… You could spend several holidays here and see something completely different every single time! If you’re into vegan South Africa, this is your place to go.

We first explored Cape Town in January 2016 ( their summer) and were struck by its natural beauty, sense of history and very modern infrastructure. An hour away, the Winelands floored us with its natural beauty, quality (and quantity!!) of wineries and gourmet food. Calling ahead, a restaurant in Franschhoek made an entire (and absolutely delicious) vegan menu for us, perfectly paired with wine, and we fell in love with the place there and then!

The area near Cape Town extends to quaint Greyton and onwards along the Garden Route, one of the world’s great roads. The Eastern Cape are filled with parks and private concessions, allowing for endless possibilities of safari and wildlife spotting activities. Accommodation is top-notch everywhere, and you’re never far from yet another gourmet food experience.

While South Africa has its fair share of issues and problems, notably in regards to wealth inequality and some security issues, it remains one of the most amazing holiday destination in the world. We can’t wait to show you around!
