Personal and professional.

We make it personal from the very first email to the moment we meet you on Day 1.  From daily briefings to our leaders’ constant availability, our mantra is simple: ensuring you have the best trip of your life.

What makes our trips so special?

Delicious breakfasts ○ Veganized local food ○ So many choices

Vegan cuisine

For many of us, traveling means food. But vegans have to spend too much time planning their next meal, checking ingredients, and wondering if the next town will even have an option for them.

But on a World Vegan Travel trip, you can enjoy veganized local cuisine with no planning or stress. We work with hotels and restaurants to offer you five-star buffet breakfasts, hearty dinners, and snacks and treats throughout the day.

You’ll never be hungry with us.

Want to see what you’re in store for?  Watch the video below for some examples on what you can expect on a trip with us:

Fun activities

Our trips aren’t just about food. We organise a range of activities like scenic bike tours, cooking classes, dinner cruises, and poignant visits to animal sanctuaries, shelters, and rescue centres.

We draw on our local knowledge to ensure no activity involves exploitation and abuse of our animal friends.

You’ll also have plenty of time to choose your own adventure, from a hike alone to kicking back with a cocktail. We understand that everyone needs some time to themselves on their vacation, so we ensure you can balance time alone with making new friends.

What activity are you into?

Unique ○ Luxurious ○ Perfectly located

Luxury Stays

We’ve carefully picked fun, comfortable accommodation in the perfect location.

You could be staying in a five-star colonial mansion in Hanoi, a sumptuous Thai resort, a cozy French inn, or a deluxe lodge in Rwanda.

Wherever we take you, you’ll be relaxing in a luxury locale before the next adventure begins.

Surprises and extras

We set ourselves apart from other tour companies by adding extras to make your trip more comfortable and memorable.  When you arrive, you’ll receive a reusable shopping bag filled with amenities, gifts and treats.   Our vans and coaches have WIFI so you can make your friends back home jealous.  There’s even a laundry day scheduled in every trip, because clean clothes are the best!

And throughout your trip, we’ll surprise you with gifts: an unannounced bottle of bubbly, a cookie or two, even an entire surprise activity!

Expect the unexpected.

Ethical ○ Sustainable ○ Vetted animal sanctuaries

Advocacy & responsibility

We work closely and tirelessly with all our suppliers – from hotels to restaurants to local guides – to ensure your trip aligns with your compassionate values.

Going to non-vegan hotels and restaurants means we get the chance to educate and train them.  Many of our partners have since incorporated veganism in their businesses, from adding menu items to providing vegan bedding and toiletries, etc.

Many of our trips also include visits to a local animal sanctuary, shelter or rescue center.  This provides a source of funds for these organization thanks to the included donations from our group, as well as educate our travelers as to the specific plight of animals in their travel destination.

By traveling with World Vegan Travel, you actually make a difference and help spread our vegan values and ethics to new horizons.

Meet the team

Meet the team

World Vegan Travel was founded by life-and-travel partners Sebastien and Brighde, two nomads who spent nearly 2 decades living and working overseas in a myriad of countries: France, Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, Indonesia and Thailand. With backgrounds in tour leading and film and TV production, they spend at least three months each year traveling the world to find new and exciting destinations for vegans to experience. They currently make their home amongst the mountains, bears and eagles of beautiful Squamish, BC, Canada.

Brighde Reed

Co-Founder

Brighde spent her formative years in the UK and Australia before her desire to travel took over. The next five years were spent leading group tours for an Australian company around Southeast Asia, France and Morocco. She met fellow tour guide Seb in Marrakech, fell madly in love (this was written by Seb…), and a couple of years later they discovered veganism together.  She became passionate about promoting the vegan message as an activist.

Widely traveled for both work and fun, one of her most important jobs at World Vegan Travel is ensuring the vegan food on our trips is second to none.  She also makes sure everyone has enough treats throughout the day, and organizes the infamous trivia sessions during our final day’s parties.

Sebastien Ranger

Co-Founder

Born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, Seb has been traveling around the world since he was 17.  Several trips to Europe and Asia culminated in an 18-months backpacking adventure, going overland from Thailand to Turkey.  Since 2008, he’s been running his own logistics company for overseas film and TV productions filming in Asia, giving him the experience and know-how to organize even the most complicated trips while leaving no details to chance.

After living and working for nearly 20 years abroad (South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Morocco, Indonesia and Thailand), he’s returned to his homeland of Canada and settled in beautiful Squamish with Brighde and their 2 cats, Pinky & Squeaky.

These 2 awesome kitties, Pinky (in white) and Squeaky (in black) joined forces with Brighde & Seb in 2006.  Originally from Hanoi, Vietnam, they’ve since traveled to Thailand and Indonesia, and currently reside in beautiful Squamish, BC, Canada.

Though the very nature of World Vegan Travel means their humans are often away from home, they still provide an immeasurable service to the company, expertly managing the well-being and stress-free environment of  WVT’s offices.  They love playing chase, naps by the fireplace, cat grass and lots of pets and scratches. They are certainly the cutest members of the team!
