Variations and tips:
- Add spices and food grade essential oils or extracts to create certain flavors, like mint, cinnamon, or orange.
- Add nut butters
- Mix in dried fruit, cacao nibs, or choc chips before serving.
- Use different frozen fruits, but have a base of bananas or other creamy fruit (like mango) to ensure you get a good texture. Try half a cup of frozen berries.
- Add cocoa powder to make a chocolate ice cream. You can also add other superfood powders, such as maca, greens powder, or spirulina.
- Keep frozen bananas in the freezer all the time for ice-cream whenever you want.
Ingredients
- 2 sliced bananas, frozen
- 1/2 cup of another frozen fruit such as strawberries (optional)
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon non-dairy milk
Instructions
- Place all ingredients into the food processor (or high-powered blender) and process until the bananas are very smooth and creamy.
