Thailand is a sensory masterpiece: electric cities, lush jungles, turquoise coasts, and legendary cuisine—Thailand is a destination that ignites the senses. But to truly experience the “Land of Smiles” without compromise requires the right connections.
A Journey Curated by Insiders This isn’t just another tour. The founders of World Vegan Travel – who will also be your tour leaders – lived in Bangkok for a decade. This is our former home, and we are using our personal knowledge to build the ultimate Best-Of-Thailand trip!
Your Itinerary:
Bangkok: Bypass the traffic and stay on the river. We embrace the “Resort in the City” vibe, exploring ancient canals and rooftop bars before retreating to sanctuary-style luxury.
Chiang Mai: Forget the crowded tour bus. We provide private minivans and chauffeurs for our group, giving you the freedom to explore the northern hills, temples, and markets in total comfort.
Phuket: This is the grand finale. You’ll visit the inspiring Soi Dog Foundation, connect with rescued gibbons and elephants in ethical, hands-off environments, and return home to accommodation you will NOT want to leave!
That’s not all! we’ve packed the itinerary with one unforgettable experience after another. Enjoy a traditional Khantoke dinner, shop the night markets before a dazzling cabaret show, master local flavors in a private cooking lesson, and sail the Andaman Sea on our private catamaran charter. From a monk’s blessing to a sunset beach dinner, every moment is designed to be extraordinary.
Feast Without Fear: Food is the heart of Thai culture, and it’s the heart of this trip. Expect curated plant-based feasts where you can finally taste the dishes of your dreams. We’ve worked directly with chefs to veganize the country’s most iconic flavors. Pad Thai, Massaman Curry, Mango Sticky Rice—you will eat it all, 100% vegan, without asking a single question.
So come along with a group of like-minded travelers for a journey where adventure meets pampering. No planning, no stress, and absolutely no fish sauce!
Where to start? The itinerary was perfect. Each hotel was top notch! And the food… incredible! I cannot give enough praise to Seb and Brighde! The entire trip was delightful- well planned, perfectly executed. And many surprises along the way (Thai massage is the best)! Thailand is a wonderful country with great people. We loved the culture and atmosphere. Traveling with WVT, we met a like minded group of people and really enjoyed the trip with everyone. I highly recommend WVT and am so looking forward to our next trip to Botswana!
Not enough space here to express how wonderful this adventure to Thailand with World Vegan Travel was. Our second time traveling with WVT and it was as amazing as we knew it would be. Everything taken care of with incredible attention to detail; we didn’t have a worry in the world for the entire trip. Brighde and Sebastian are true professionals who also know how to join in on the fun. Looking forward to the next journey with them. Highly recommended!
The best of Thailand was on my bucket list. After visiting Bali, India I really wanted to go to Thailand in 2020. But the world closed down. So when WVT announced Thailand, I was super excited. This was my second trip with WVT. They did not disappoint. Everything was well planned out but also giving us enough downtime to relax. I really enjoyed our interactions with the temples & the monks. The food was so delicious. Brighde & Seb are just a joy to be around & I look forward to many more trips with them.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Thailand with Vegan World Travel, and I can honestly say it was one of the most incredible trips I’ve ever taken. From the vibrant cityscapes to the serene beaches and lush jungles, Thailand offers an experience like no other. This was my third (!) trip with them and, as always, Brighde and Seb took care of every little detail making this trip truly one of a kind!
World Vegan Travel (Seb & Brighde) do a fantastic job organizing trips for traveling vegans, and the Best of Thailand is another example of their expertise! (This was my second trip with WVT and my husband’s first). My husband really enjoyed the Bangkok resort, dinner on the boat that cruised the Chao Phraya river, and the breakfast buffet was wonderful, especially the red curry! Traveling in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket really did show us the Best of Thailand. Every detail was taken care of, with exciting special surprises, like the 2-hour massage in Chiang Mai and the foot massages at the Bangkok airport. The food was incredibly delicious (more Khao Soi ramen please!!) amazing me with the different flavors and artistry. Highlights were the visits to the animal sanctuaries (elephants, gibbons, stray dogs and cats) and the luxurious resorts (especially the villas at the Phuket beach resort)! Most of all, experiencing everything with fellow vegans was so rewarding! The conversations and camaraderie will stay with me long after the trip.
A Truly Unforgettable Experience with World Vegan Travel! Our Thailand trip with World Vegan Travel was nothing short of spectacular! From start to finish, the tour leaders (Seb, Brighde, and Del) were incredibly organized, thoughtful, and so much fun to be around. Every detail was planned to perfection, allowing us to relax and fully immerse ourselves in the experience of such a beautiful country. The itinerary was so well-curated – like ALL WVT trips – that we never had to worry about a thing. From the seamless logistics to the incredible activities, everything flowed effortlessly. The food was beyond amazing – delicious, abundant, and always satisfying. You’ll never go hungry on a WVT trip! One of the most special aspects of this journey was the people. We met the most wonderful, kind-hearted individuals, and lifelong friendships were formed along the way. Exploring Thailand with such a warm and caring group made the experience even more meaningful. If you’re looking for a trip that combines adventure, incredible food, and wonderful people – all while being completely stress-free – look no further than World Vegan Travel. I can’t recommend them highly enough!!!!

It’s a powerful opportunity to learn about these incredible primates and the conservation efforts protecting them.
We’ll then continue to our final home for the trip—a spectacular beach resort situated on the northern end of Phuket. Nestled next to a National Park originally established to protect nesting sea turtles, the area is incredibly tranquil and remains beautifully natural.

ITINERARY

Please provide her with detailed information about your dietary needs or preferences, and ensure you receive a written response from Brighde before finalizing your trip booking. We understand that our tour price reflects a significant investment. However, when you look closer at what a truly all-inclusive, luxury vegan experience entails, the value becomes clear. Here is how we differentiate ourselves:
True All-Inclusive Value: Unlike most tours that leave you with a surprise bill at the end, our price includes every single meal (exclusively curated and plant-based), all drinks and alcohol, and every tip for drivers, local guides, and hotel staff.
The “Vegan Premium” Service: Being one of the only all-vegan group tours in Thailand requires months of intensive, full-time advocacy. We work directly with 5-star chefs and hotel partners to overhaul menus, source vegan-friendly toiletries, and ensure every detail of your stay aligns with your ethics—labor-intensive work that mainstream companies simply don’t perform.
Superior Leadership: While most tours provide a single guide, WVT provides dual leadership. You’ll have the constant support of two full-time tour leaders, including the founders, who lived in Bangkok for a decade and bring unparalleled insider knowledge to your journey.
High-Value “Hard Costs”: We don’t cut corners on your comfort. From on-demand private chauffeurs in Chiang Mai and a private catamaran charter in Phuket to spectacular 5-star resort accommodations, we have invested in privacy and exclusivity that mainstream tours cannot match.
Thoughtful Extras: We’ve included the small details that make a big difference, such as a curated gift/essentials bag and a free laundry day, so you can focus entirely on the experience.
We’ve constructed this itinerary to be the trip of a lifetime. By combining high-end luxury with zero-stress logistics, we ensure that your only job is to soak in the magic of Thailand.
Absolutely. Thailand remains one of the safest destinations for travelers in the world. While violent crime against tourists is exceptionally rare, common sense and alertness are your best tools.
Personal Safety: Walking around at night is generally very safe, though we recommend keeping a close eye on your valuables in crowded areas to avoid rare instances of pickpocketing.
Scams: Minor tourist scams are the most common issue travelers face; however, as you will be with our experienced tour leaders, we will help you navigate these situations effortlessly.
Political Climate: While the country has a history of political shifts, these events rarely impact the safety or movements of international travelers. It is a misconception that all political conflict has “disappeared,” but any activity is typically localized and peaceful.
Our Commitment: We constantly monitor the local landscape and will immediately update you if there are any changes that might impact our journey. Your safety and peace of mind are our absolute priorities.
Absolutely! We have many people on our trip that sign up as solo travelers. However do note that single rooms availability is low, so book quickly! Please see our COST & SIGN-UP section for more information.
Should you still be on the waiting list when the trip closes and gets confirmed, we may be able to offer you a single room (depending on availability).
FLIGHTS
You are in charge of your own flights to and from our starting city. We ask that you try and arrive early on the first day, as our first meeting tends to be around 2pm. This exact time will be confirmed at a later date.
Even better is arriving one or more days before. This would provide you with a chance to take care of jet-lag and visit the town. Once the trip starts. We can book you a room in our trip’s hotel if you’d like. We will be sending out the cost for this once the trip is confirmed.
Regardless of your arrival date, we will provide an airport pickup.
Please note that check-ins at our hotel are not guaranteed BEFORE 3PM. We will try and have the hotel accommodate early arrivals, but it’s possible you will be asked to wait until a room becomes available. We are situated right downtown, so worst case it’s nice and exciting to go and explore the neighborhood!
VISAS
For citizens of western countries (ie USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc), no visas are necessary for a stay of 30 days or less. You will receive an entry stamp at the airport when landing. You will need a passport with at least 6 months of validity to enter Thailand, as well as one full blank page for the visa stamps.
INSURANCE
You will need medical travel insurance. This is a requirement of joining a trip with World Vegan Travel. We need to know that you are fully covered in the event of a medical emergency, including repatriation. You will need to send us your policy details and emergency contact number before the trip’s start date.
We strongly recommend consulting with a travel health clinic or your primary physician at least eight weeks before your departure to Thailand. They can provide the most up-to-date advice and ensure you have the proper care tailored to your medical history.
Commonly recommended vaccinations for Thailand include:
Routine Boosters: Tetanus and Hepatitis A & B.
Travel-Specific: Typhoid and occasionally Rabies.
Malaria: While usually not required for the areas we visit, your doctor can advise if preventative tablets are necessary based on your personal health needs.
Taking the time to check in with a professional early ensures you are fully protected and ready to enjoy your adventure without worry.
As we are not a travel agency or booking agents, we can’t book any flights or ongoing travel (ie hotels, transportation, etc) for you. However we can surely help with recommendations, suggestions and tips as you look into flights, or extending your holiday. It never hurts to ask, so don’t hesitate to contact us with any queries whatsoever!
February is one of the best times to visit Thailand. The weather is dry and not as unbearably hot as it is during other times of the year, and you’re all-but-guaranteed spectacular weather.
The average daily temperatures are mild and comfortable, ranging from 25 to 32 degrees Celsius (77 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit).
Dry conditions can also be expected in Bangkok, although temperatures will be warmer than further to the north due in part to the city’s lower altitude, and tend to hover in the high 20’s°C (~85°F).
Chiang Mai tends to be cooler, with temperatures averaging around 20 to 26 degrees Celsius (68 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit).
Favorable diving conditions continue off the west coast around Phuket with good underwater visibility and water temperatures around 27°C (80.6°F).
Thailand is a tropical country — hot and humid all year long. Therefore dress accordingly. This means light (preferably) cotton or linen material. Skirts, dresses, light shirts, and shorts should do the trick. We’ll have a laundry day mid-way through the trip, so no need to over-pack. Laundry is easy and accessible everywhere – our guide will help you with finding a place outside of the hotels (where it can be very expensive!).
Please try and pack everything in a small carry-on suitcase or similar — we do have 2 domestic flights and it’s best if your luggage is small and light. Any luggage to be checked in should weigh no more than 20kg.
You will need to dress conservatively when visiting temples, especially women (shoulders need to be covered, leg-length shorts). Likewise, please bring at least one pair of long pants and closed shoes for when we visit more up-market establishments, such as Bangkok’s rooftop bars or fancier restaurants.
We will be walking a lot and bicycling, so make sure you bring adequate and breathable footwear. Sandals and flip-flops are nice when walking around town and sites, but don’t forget nicer (closed) shoes for some of our nicer events.
Oh, and swimwear! Definitely don’t forget your swimsuit!
Make sure to also pack sunscreen, mosquito repellent and sunglasses.
No. Feel free to bring all the luggage you want. However, do note that you will need to carry your own luggage a few times, mostly from the hotel to the bus and into the next hotel. Distances are never big, but you are in charge of your own belongings, so it’s better to carry less than too much!
Yes, we will have full WIFI internet at our accommodation as well as in our vans.
Overall, this is an all-inclusive trip and you shouldn’t need a huge amount of extra funds. You will need to cater for yourself on day 1 until we meet in the afternoon, and again on our last day, especially if you choose to stay in Thailand for a longer time. You can probably make do with using a credit card for all extra purchases and souvenirs, though it’s a good idea to have a few hundred dollars in local currency, just in case. This will be useful for beach massages! It is best to withdraw cash once you are in Thailand, not before, in order to get better exchange rates.
If you have any specific dietary needs or food preferences, we kindly ask you to contact Brighde at [email protected] before finalizing your booking. Please provide her with detailed information about your dietary needs or preferences, and ensure you receive a written response from Brighde before finalizing your trip booking. Your cooperation and understanding in this matter are greatly appreciated.
Please note that any additional requests made after the booking has been completed might not be able to be accommodated.
We have a few full days, where we have activities planned the entire time, and a few days where we’ll do an activity in the morning or afternoon and allow you some free time for half the day. Most activities can be skipped should you feel tired, etc. Just talk to your tour leader so they can accommodate you.
We have four private minivans dedicated to our group at all times. When we aren’t out on a scheduled excursion, these vehicles and their professional drivers are available for your personal use. Whether you want to explore a specific local market, visit a hidden temple, or simply head into town for a solo adventure, you are welcome to request a driver and explore the area exactly as you choose.
This is NOT a very physical trip. While there are chances for you to go on extended hikes, usually we will be doing only limited walks (i.e. during city/temple tours), though we do have a bike ride (easy and flat) through Chiang Mai’s suburbs and countryside. You can opt out of any activities should you feel
More taxing on the body is Thailand’s heat and humidity. Being so close to the equator AND at low elevation means it’s always hot and sticky, all year-round. Drinking a lot of water and ensuring you take the necessary time to rest each day (it’s tempting to want to do too much!) is the perfect antidote. All our hotels have a swimming pool… or a nearby cool river!
Youth above 16 years young are welcome. We are currently not accepting any younger children.
There’s no upper age limit, though do note that there is a fair amount of walking on this trip.
World Vegan Travel aims to be a safe place for all LGBTQ travelers. We have a zero-tolerance policy on discrimination of any sort.
Generally speaking, Thailand is a very safe and welcoming travel destination for the LGBTQ community. You will find Thais to be quite tolerant and welcoming everywhere we go. Bangkok, in particular, has lots of LGBTQ hangouts and a strong community.
